Principal's Message

Dear Poinsettia Families,

On behalf of myself and the entire Poinsettia Elementary School staff, I would like to welcome all new and returning families to the 2026-2027 school year. This year, we invite our students to Dive Into Success! Together, we will explore new learning opportunities, discover our strengths, and make waves through hard work, perseverance, and positive relationships. At Poinsettia, we are proud members of the Lion Pride, and we look forward to another year filled with exciting family events, volunteer opportunities, spirit days, schoolwide PBIS celebrations and incentives, student recognition ceremonies, and many opportunities to come together as a school community

To stay updated on all the exciting events and important information, please be sure to complete the Annual Update and verify your cell phone number(s) and email address(es) in AERIES to receive updates through our ParentSquare messaging system: ParentSquare

The Poinsettia Parent Press will continue to be sent every Sunday at 4:00 PM with information to help your family start the week successfully. A reminder edition, Midweek Minute will also be sent on Wednesdays. Don't forget to check out our school website and follow our Instagram page to stay connected:

I highly encourage all parents to become active members of our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). With your support, our staff and students can enjoy amazing community-building events, enrichment opportunities, field trips, academic support, and much more. Please look for information in your child's first-day packet and visit the PTO website to learn how to get involved.

Lions, let's dive into a year of learning, growth, and success! Together, we will show respect, make good decisions, solve problems, and support one another as we navigate new adventures. We can't wait to see all that our students accomplish this year.  #wearelions

Warmly,

Ms. Melanie Morrow
